Maruti Suzuki Enters The Light Commercial Vehicle Market In Gujarat
Maruti Suzuki has launched the Super Carry Light Commercial vehicle (LCV) in Gujarat for Rs. 4,03,000 ex-showroom (Ahmedabad). The Super carry LCV was launched by RS Kalsi, the Executive Director for Marketing and Sales, and T Hashimoto, the Executive Director for Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India.
Maruti Suzuki has invested around Rs. 300 crore towards the development of the Super Carry. The carmakers has set up commercial vehicle sales outlets to sell the Super Carry LCV and plans to have 50 outlets across 5 states by the year end.
Powering the Super Carry LCV is a 793cc, two-cylinder engine that produces 33.5bhp and 75Nm of peak torque. This engine comes paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the Super Carry returns a mileage of 22.07km/l.
In terms of features, the Super Carry comes with a charging outlet, digital clock, disc brakes up front, provision for a stereo, and a galvanised chassis that helps prevent the LCV from rust. The Super Carry has a payload capacity of 740kg.
