Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Petrol Model Debuts In Indonesia — Is It India Bound?
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is available as the diesel models in the India, the petrol is expected to be launched soon.
Now, Suzuki has listed the S-Cross petrol in Indonesia much before its debut in Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2016 (GIIAS 2016).
The Indonesian-bound Suzuki S-Cross will be the pre-facelift model and it will be powered by the petrol 1.5-litre, four cylinder engine which produces 107bhp of power and 138Nm of torque and will be mated with the choice of five-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox.
India could get the same M15 1.5-litre petrol mill to power the S-Cross from Maruti. Currently, the S-Cross is available only with the 1.3-litre DDiS 200 and the 1.6-litre DDiS 320 diesel engines. Also, expected is the 1.0-litre Booster Jet engine, which will be in the European market.
The prices for the S-Cross in Indonesia is not revealed as of now. The facelifted Suzuki S-Cross has already been spotted in Europe; however, not sure which model will India get.
Maruti has not seen the popularity of the S-Cross in India as its other model, Baleno sold through its premium Nexa showroom. Maruti will be bringing the petrol model to increase it sales in India.
