India's leading car manufacturer Maruti-Suzuki is set to launch the all-new Ignis in India and has listed the crossover hatchback on the Nexa website.
The Ignis crossover will use the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines powering the Swift and the Baleno which are expected to remain untouched.
The Ignis was first shown off in India at the 2016 Auto Expo in February and was expected to launch in 2016. However, due to production delays, the launch has been deferred to early 2017.
The Ignis, like the Baleno and the S-Cross SUV will be sold exclusively through Maruti's Nexa dealerships and will go up against the Mahindra KUV100. Prices for the Ignis are expected to start at around Rs 5 lakh.
Maruti has also put up a video (seen above) teasing the launch of the Ignis
