2016 Bogota Auto Show: Maruti Suzuki Showcases Ignis Mini-SUV
The Euro-spec model showcased at the Bogota show sport a K12C 1.2-litre DUALJET four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 88.47bhp of power and 120Nm of torque.

showcased
its
India-bound
Ignis
mini-SUV.
The
show
was
held
earlier
this
month
in
Colombia.
A
few
months
back,
the
manufacturer
showcased
this
model
at
the
2016
Auto
Expo
in
Delhi.
According to reports, the company will launch the Ignis sometime during early 2017 in India. The model will come with two engine option: a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.3-litre diesel unit.
Both the powerplants will be mated to manual as well as AMT gearboxes. As of now, there is no detailed specification of the Indian model.
Maruti Suzuki did had a plan to launch the Ignis earlier in the country but it changed its focus on reducing the waiting period for Vitara Brezza compact SUV and Baleno premium hatchback.
The Euro-spec model showcased at the Bogota show sport a K12C 1.2-litre DUALJET four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 88.47bhp of power and 120Nm of torque.
The power output is send via a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic transmission. For the Indian-spec model, it is expected that SHVS technology could be available.
Some key features that we can expect in this mini-SUV are LED headlamps, sliding rear seat, Dual Camera Brake Support (DCBS), Android Auto and MirrorLink, touchscreen infotainment system and Apple CarPlay, and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
