Maruti Suzuki To Inaugurate 4,000 Dealerships By 2020
Maruti Suzuki is the best-seller of four-wheelers in the Indian market. The Japanese-based manufacturer has a wide product portfolio in the country. In terms of dealerships as well, Maruti Suzuki is clearly head and shoulders ahead of its competitors.
Now Maruti Suzuki plans on inaugurating 4,000 dealerships across the country. This goal will be achieved by the manufacturer by 2020. Maruti Suzuki has set for itself several goals for the near future and would like to accomplish them.
By 2020, Maruti Suzuki plans on selling approximately 20 lakh models per year. The 4,000 dealerships will help the automobile manufacturer achieve this goal. Regular Maruti Suzuki and Nexa dealerships will be included in the overall goal.
Currently, Nexa dealerships stand at 127 outlets and within this fiscal year they will grow to 250 outlets. Regular Maruti Suzuki dealerships stand at 1,820 outlets and the manufacturer plans to increase it by another 200 outlets within the fiscal year.
New models will contribute to the sales target set by Maruti Suzuki for itself. Recently, the Vitara Brezza compact SUV was launched and will be followed by the Ignis model, which was unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo.
