2017 Maruti S-Cross Facelift Spied; Production Set To Begin
A new set of 2017 facelift Maruti Suzuki S-Cross spy shots from the production facility has emerged.
The spy images of the facelifted S-Cross reveals heavy changes on the front fascia and subtle changes to the rear profile. The front will sport a large air dam with multiple chrome vertical slats and bumper receiving a sculpted finish.
As for the bonnet, we see subtle creases have been modified and the headlamps look rather conventional and not modern.
The current model has a stooped front profile and Suzuki has taken that and made the new 2017 S-Cross a better stance. The side profile though remains untouched, the rear profile is not seen in the image, however, it would be tweaked to compliment the front headlamps.
As of now, there is not confirmation of the power unit, we can expect the same 1.3-litre multijet and 1.6-litre multijet diesel engine which is sourced from Fiat. There could be a possibility of the petrol booster jet engine which will be seen in the upcoming Baleno RS.
Maruti has not received good numbers of the S-Cross and it is very much new to the Indian market, with this facelift S-Cross, Maruti might want to bring it to India to pick up sales of the crossover.
Maruti sells the S-Cross and the Baleno through it premium showrooms, Nexa and the upcoming Ignis too is expected to join them at Nexa.
