New-Gen Mahindra Scorpio Getaway Pickup Spied Testing In India
Mahindra may soon come up with a new Scorpio Getaway pickup in India. A camouflaged test mule has been spotted testing on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
Similar to its older model, the front end looks identical to its SUV counterpart, Scorpio. So we expect the same aggressive face with mean looking projector headlamps, honeycomb grille and beefy bumper.
The alloy wheels gets the same design as the outgoing Scorpio Getaway. The body coloured ORVM's and door handles have been replaced by black colour.
The side profile of the utility vehicle gets a new integrated side step while the rear cargo bed remains the same as the older one. The vertical tail lamps also remains the same.
Although there are no pictures of the interior of the new pickup. But it is expected that the interiors will remain identical to the current generation Scorpio.
Being a double cab the seating capacity is likely to be of five. The new Getaway might be offered in a slightly premium space and might feature all-new dashboard, instrument cluster and steering wheel.
The rear of the pickup truck sports mHawk and Mahindra Pickup badges. So the new model may not be called as Mahindra Pickup. This new Getaway is likely to be powered by 2.2-litre mHawk engine from the new Scorpio, which churns out 120bhp and 280Nm of torque.
