Mahindra Quanto Facelift Rechristened Nuvosport
Mahindra has renamed the Quanto facelift as Nuvosport. The company has been testing the sub-four-metre compact SUV for some time now and the actual photos have surfaced online.
As per Overdrive, the Quanto has been re-christened as Nuvosport, the SUV looks imposing with an eyebrow LED DRL's split above the headlamps. The front grille looks compact and angular compared to the previous generation, which looked more rounded.
The Nuvosport gets new fog lamps and side blinkers. The bonnet sports an all-new air-scoop and it gets new alloy wheels and the door cladding give it a more of an off-road finish.
On the rear side of the SUV, we see a blackened taillamps and badging of the Nuvosport, otherwise, it looks the same as its predecessor.
The Nuvosport will be powered by a new petrol engine sporting a 1.2 litre mHawk 100 and will be mated to a 5-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. The diesel will get the current 1.5 litre engine.
The company will continue to offer the vehicle in 7-seater layout just as it was in the Quanto. The top of the variant will feature the cruise control, double-DIN touchscreen infotainment system.
The pricing of the Mahindra Nuvosport will range from Rs. 5.5 lakh to Rs. 8.5 lakh and is expected to be launched by the end of March 2016.
The Nuvosport will compete with 7-seater cars like Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and soon to be launched GM's Chevrolet Spin.
