Mahindra has launched the NuvoSport compact SUV in India. Prices for the NuvoSport start at Rs.7.35 Lakh ex-showroom (Thane). The NuvoSport replaces the Quanto in Mahindra's lineup and is the carmaker's second sub-4 metre SUV after the TUV300.
Prices
Here are the prices for the NuvoSport from Mahindra.
Variant | Price Ex-Showroom (Thane) |
N4 | Rs. 7,35,000 |

N6 | Rs. 8,36,000 |
N6 (AMT) | Rs. 9,00,000 |
N8 | Rs. 9,12,000 |
N8 (AMT) | Rs. 9,76,000 |
Engine & Gearbox Specifications
The NuvoSport is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 100bhp and 240Nm of torque. There are two driving modes - Eco and and Power. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and a AMT gearbox. The NuvoSport returns a mileage of 17.45km/l.
Styling & Features
The new NuvoSport SUV has the same profile as the Quanto that it replaces but it takes its styling cues from the Scorpio. The front of the car with its small grille and large air dam is quite reminiscent of the Scorpio.
Where it does differ from the Scorpio up front are the headlamps. While they look like like the ones on the Scorpio, the Daytime Running LEDs are not integrated into the headlamps but form eyebrows above the headlamps instead.
There is plastic cladding all around to give the NuvoSport a more rugged look. The new SUV features multi-spoke alloy wheels and at the rear, the taillamps feature clear glass lenses.
The dual tone interiors with leatherette seats and chrome accents give the insides of the NuvoSport a premium look and feel. Also inside is a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Bluetooth, AUX as well as hands-free calling.
Mahindra claims that the NuvoSport offers best in class hieght and width as well as the biggest boot in the segment at 412-litres.
Safety wise Mahindra is offering dual airbags upfront along with ABS with EBD. These safety features are available as an option for each and every variant in the NuvoSport range.
The NuvoSport is available in 6 different colours - Molten Red, Rust Orange, Diamond White, Regal Blue, Mist Silver and Fiery Black.
Availability & Rivals
The NuvoSport is now available at all Mahindra dealerships across the nation. The new NuvoSport will go up against the Vitara Brezza from Maruti Suzuki and the Ford EcoSport and should give them a run for their money with its attractive pricing and features list.
