Mahindra Names New SUV NuvoSport, Launch In First Week Of April
Mahindra has named its upcoming new SUV the 'NuvoSport'. The carmaker also confirmed that the car will launch in the first week of April and released the official images of the SUV.
Speaking about the naming of the car and the release of the official images of the NuvoSport, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive, (Automotive), M&M Ltd. said, "Today, Mahindra enjoys the strongest equity in the SUV segment in India. Being a customer centric organization we identified a need gap in the market and designed the NuvoSport to meet the needs of those customers who lead an active lifestyle and are looking for a sporty and fun to drive SUV."
"I am sure that with the addition of the NuvoSport, we will further consolidate our leadership in the SUV segment and effectively address the entire gamut of customer segments across price points ranging all the way from 4.5 lacs to 25 lakhs."
The NuvoSport will replace the Quanto in Mahindra's range of vehicles on sale in the country. The NuvoSport features a design that heavily borrows from the Scorpio including the small grille and large air dam.
The headlamps look similar to the ones on the Scorpio as well except the fact that the NuvoSport's Daytime Running LED's form eyebrows above the headlamps.
The sides of the new SUV feature plastic cladding and also see 10-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear the taillamps see clear glass lenses.
Prices for the Mahindra NuvoSport is expected to start around Rs. 7 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
