Lohia Auto Launches OMAstar Electric Scooter For Rs. 40,850
Lohia Auto Industries has launched the OMAstar electric scooter in India. The zero-emissions scooter is priced at Rs. 40,850.
Like other electric scooters and bikes, the OMAstar can be ridden without acquiring a driving license.
Powering the new e-scooter is a 250W Brushless DC motor which can help it reach a top speed of 25km/h. The motor is connected to a 20Ah battery pack which provides a range of 60 kilometers and takes six to eight hours to charge up.
The OMAstar features telescopic front forks, alloy wheels, and drum brakes. The suspension along with the high ground clearance should make the OMAstar perfect for the rough Indian roads.
The e-scooter is available in four different colours — Fiery Red, Macho Black, Spirited Gray and White.
Ayush Lohia, CEO, Lohia Auto Industries, said, "We understand the needs of our customers and believe in providing with smart mobility solutions. We believe 'Omastar' adds significant value in form and function to the electric bike segment and also address the environmental concerns of the automobile industry and the country".
The OMAstar will be produced at the Lohia Auto Industries manufacturing plant in Kashipur, Uttrakhand.
