Lexus LX 450d Imported To India For Homologation Purposes
Lexus has been eyeing the Indian market for a while now, and a few weeks ago we had reported about Lexus importing the ES300h to India.
Following the ES300h import, Toyota Kirloskar India has now brought in the LX 450d SUV to the Indian shores.
The import export data reveals that a single unit of LX 450d has been imported. The unit is expected to be imported exclusively for homologation purposes.
The LX 450d has been imported from Japan to the Ennore port, near Chennai.
The LX 450d will be powered by a 4.5-litre V8 diesel engine which can produce 272bhp at 1600-2800 rpm and peak torque of 650 Nm. The power will be sent to the wheels through a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
