By Dennis

Chinese tech company Le Eco is no newbie in the electric car game. The company has tied up with quite a few companies to help them build electric cars.

However, they've now decided to that they want a slice of the pie as well and have decided to challenge the big daddy of them all with a brand new Electric car that they showed off in Beijing ahead of the 2016 Beijing Motor Show.

Let's take a look at just what they've got planned and why they could give Tesla nightmares.

Le Eco LeSee

The Le Eco LeSee is the company's first car of any type that will bear the Le Eco badge. The LeSee will make its official debut at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show.

The LeSee will feature automation aka self-driving capabilities and can be controlled through your Le Eco smartphone.

The steering wheel folds back into the dashboard when autonomous mode is deployed.

Le Eco hasn't revealed much about the LeSee's performance except that it will have a top speed of 209km/h.

Can It Rival Tesla?

Can It Rival Tesla?

Le Eco has just one target in mind with the new LeSee, Elon Musk's Tesla. But can it disrupt the unparalleled growth of the American electric car revolutionary? Let's take a closer look and find out.

Target Locked - Tesla Model S

Target Locked - Tesla Model S

This is the car that the LeSee has to beat, the Tesla Model S. Prices for the top end Tesla start at $71,500 (Rs. 47.58 lakhs).

The price shouldn't bother Le Eco who are known for their disruptive pricing.

Eco-Friendly Mile Muncher

What will bother them though is the fact that the Model S can do 473 kilometers on a single charge of its 90kWh battery pack.

And it can charge that battery pack up to 50 percent in just 20 minutes.

The S Stands For Ludicrous Speed

What makes it even more challenging is the Model S's speed.

With Ludicrous mode engaged the Tesla Model S P90D will sprint from 0 - 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds, thanks to a dual motor powertrain that produces 762bhp and 967Nm of torque.

That insane acceleration makes the Model S faster than most supercars which makes it rather helpful when you're in the mood to prank your fellow passengers.

The Model 3 - The Tesla For You And Me

Tesla hasn't forgotten the normal performance minded customer either as its brand new Model 3 costs just $35,000 (Rs. 23.27 lakhs).

This makes the Model 3 cheaper than most of its rivals including the BMW 3 series, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Audi A4 all of which still pollute the earth.

The Model 3 has proved to be a hit with Tesla CEO Elon Musk claiming that the smallest Tesla has received nearly 4 lakh pre-orders.

The Model 3 is no slouch either as it can hit 100km/h in under 6 seconds and will be able to travel 346 kilometers on a single charge.

The Tesla SUV For The Family

But for those of you who want a SUV to ferry the family around Tesla has a SUV for you as well.

Called the Model X it can ferry you, the wife, the kids and the in-laws(preferably at the rear) with consummate ease.

Damn! Those Doors Are Crazy!

Damn! Those Doors Are Crazy!

If you think it looks a bit too Plain Jane for you, Tesla has a sweet little trick in the form of those insane Falcon Wing doors.

Should make those people who think you're a boring person think twice.

Has Tesla Done Enough?

Has Tesla Done Enough?

Tesla does have a rather powerful arsenal of cars which should scare anyone away. However, Le Eco has two rather crazy Jokers in its pack that could send Tesla running for the Californian hills it usually runs around in.

The Name's Bond, James Bond

The first of these jokers is a favourite of a certain superspy by the name of James Bond. Aston Martin have teamed up with Le Eco to build their first ever electric car, the RapidE sedan.

The RapidE makes 1000bhp which should ensure that Mr. Bond can outpace any Tesla driving baddy and of course help him get away with the girl.

Yet another 1,000bhp Joker in Le Eco's pack of cards is the American-Chinese Electric carmaker Faraday Future.

Le Eco is one of the major investors in this crazy electric car company which has already made its presence felt in Tesla's stomping grounds of California and Nevada in the United States.

The Pathway To The Future

The FFZERO1 Concept will beat any Tesla on the track but it is what's underpins the car that really can give Tesla nightmares.

The concept car sits on Faraday Future's Variable Platform Architecture (VPA) which could lead to cars of all shapes and sizes popping out.

The Future Is Electric

Faraday Future could come out with their new cars in 2018. Anything from a small hatchback to a sedan to a SUV or even a sports car can make its way out of Faraday's mad labs.

Time To Go To Mars, Mr. Musk?

So is Le Eco ready to make Mr Musk want to get off the earth on one of his rockets. With its rapidly developing stack of electric cars, Le Eco be Mr. Elon Musk's worst nightmare come to life.
