Discovery Sport Available In India With 2.0-Litre Petrol Engine

Jaguar Land Rover India is focussing on providing more value to its products in the country. The Discovery Sport SUV will now be equipped with an all-new 2.0-litre petrol engine. The Discovery Sport with the new petrol engine will be available only in the HSE trim option.

The 2.0-litre petrol engine in Discovery Sport HSE variant will cost Rs. 56.50 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The new petrol engine by Land Rover will produce 237.36bhp. Previously, the Discovery Sport was available with a choice of 2.2-litre TD4 or 2.2-litre SD4 diesel engine options.

The new Land Rover Discovery Sport was launched in India during September 2015. The premium and luxurious SUV is equipped with a 9-speed Automatic Transmission with Rotary Drive Selector. Land Rover also offers Terrain Response, Rear View Camera, Park Assist, and more.

In terms of design, the Discovery Sport with 2.0-litre petrol engine will be identical to the existing model on sale in India. The Discovery Sport will continue to be offered with 5+2 seating option. The petrol engine being introduced is most likely due to the ban on the sale of diesel vehicles in the Delhi-NCR region.
