Kochi is soon to get its first electric driving test track, in order to make indian roads safe and reduce accidents.

Ernakulam, located in the south Indian state of Kerala is to soon get its first electric driving test track. The new track will be located in Mattancherry.

Sadiq Ali, the regional transport officer said, "Electric driving tracks will make the testing process more fair and accurate. Also, this process will eradicate any loopholes in the system."

According to Shaheem S, a senior scientist in traffic and transportation division of the National Transportation Planning and Research Centre, said that accidents are a major concern in the country.

A crucial factor that leads to accidents is the poor filtration process involved in handing out driving license.

Shaheem added saying, "In an electric track, errors committed during the test will be recorded in some form or another, this will greatly lend to the elimination of bribery and, corruption, which prevalent in during driving test."
