Jenson Button Gifts Himself A Mclaren 675LT Spider
Mclaren-Honda F1 driver Jenson Button gets himself a Mclaren 675LT Spider and only a few weeks separate him from taking delivery of his new car. The F1 driver already has a Mclaren P1, so the 675LT can please on the days when he wants to leave the hybrid F1 car.
In 675LT, the LT stands for "Longtail" was originally applied to the F1 GTR race cars of the 90s. The Spider is stuffed with the same twin-turbocharged V-8 engine as the hardtop 675LT, which is able to produce 666bhp. Mclaren has applied some its Formula tech to the 675LT.
Jenson is not having a great time in his Mclaren's F1 race car, the MP4-31. The 2009 champion is currently in 15th position in the championship standings. As for now, the report suggests that the champion won't be racing in 2017 championship but he will remain as a reserve driver for Mclaren-Honda F1 team.
