Jean-Eric Vergne Fastest Man Ever In A Formula E Machine

Jean-Eric Vergne will be competing in Formula E season 3 with Techeetah team. DS Virgin Racing will be providing its own developed powertrain to Techeetah outfit. Currently, all ten Formula E teams are testing their electric race machines at Donington Park.

Vergne has now set the fastest lap ever in a Formula E machine at Donington Park. The French driver has managed to set a lap time of one minute 29.634 seconds. It is even more surprising as the fastest man set the fastest lap with an all-new team and powertrain.

Three drivers managed to set lap times that were faster than the previous year. Mahindra Racing's latest recruit Felix Rosenqvist was second fastest. Reigning Formula E Champion, Sebastian Buemi set the third fastest lap time during 2016-2017 pre-season testing.

Jaguar Racing Team gathered vital data ahead of their Formula E debut. Mitch Evans and Adam Carroll took the Jaguar I-Type 1 out for 69 lap spin. Their progress was hampered as the team encountered some sort of mechanical issue.
