Spy shots have revealed an SUV which looks extremely similar to the F-Pace but one that seems to have been stretched out quite a lot.
Since the F-Pace isn't quite old enough to warrant a facelift (The SUV has only just started hitting showrooms), the new SUV spotted on top of a trailer has to be the rumored full-size SUV from Jaguar which is rumored to bear the J-Pace name.
What makes it different from the F-Pace are the rear doors which come to a stop ahead of the rear wheel arches unlike the ones found on the F-Pace which blend right into the rear wheel arches.
The front of the car has changed slightly with the front bumper featuring a rather different lower air intake. The front overhang seems to be quite longer than the overhang on the F-Pace while the rear overhang has dramatically come down in size.
The new SUV could very well be sitting on a stretched form of the F-Pace's chassis which could help keep costs down, but Jaguar could very well borrow from sister company Land Rover's SUV expertise and use the Range Rover's chassis as well.
The test mule spotted had 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine mounted under the bonnet which was mated to an electric motor.
The J-Pace isn't expected to make its debut till 2019 and is expected to hit showrooms by 2020.
