The F-Pace is available with two turbocharged diesel engine options, a 2.0-litre four cylinder and 3.0-litre V6. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Jaguar's all-wheel-drive system.
The 2.0-litre engine produces 177bhp and 430Nm of torque and will push the F-Pace from 0 - 100km/h in 8.7 seconds and onwards to top speed of 208km/h.
The 3.0-litre V6 engine pushes out 296bhp and 700Nm of torque. The more powerful F-Pace will sprint from 0-100km/h in 6.2 seconds and will keep on going till it hits a top speed of 241km/h.
The F-Pace was first seen as the CX-17 concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and the SUV hasn't changed much in its looks since its days as a concept.
Design wise, the F-Pace reminds you of Jaguar's sports car, the F-Type from the front with its smooth lines and tapering roofline.
Up front, the big grille features Jaguar's emblem in its centre and is flanked by sleek LED headlamps with J-shaped daytime running lights which look similar to the ones on the XE and XF sedans.
Underneath the headlamps sit large air intakes under which sit the sleek fog lamps. Also, underneath the grille sits another air intake.
The F-Pace sits on sporty alloy wheels which are available in 18, 19, and 20-inch form factors.
At the rear, the bumper and the pronounced rear haunches add to muscular feel of the SUV and the taillamps look similar to the ones on the F-Type. There is also a roof mounted spoiler as well.
Inside, the F-Pace features leather seats with numerous colour options and finishes. Also present is mood lighting while a panoramic sunroof can be added as an option.
An 8-inch infotainment system comes as standard, and can be upgraded to 10.2-inches. Also available as an option is Meridian's excellent 380W sound system.
To ensure that passengers inside are safe, Jag has loaded the F-Pace with a boatload of safety tech including multiple airbags, ABS, Traction control and a 360 degree camera setup to help owners park better.
