Jaguar F-Pace SUV Imported Into India; Launch Imminent?

British automaker Jaguar has imported its first ever SUV, the F-Pace, into India for homologation purposes.

Jaguar importing the SUV into India suggests that the launch of the new F-Pace could be around the corner. The F-Pace made its debut in India when it was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in February.

The F-Pace was first revealed as the CX-17 concept vehicle in 2013 and was unveiled to the world as a production car at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

According to GaadiWaadi, the imported SUV sports a 2.0-litre diesel engine and is equipped with all-wheel-drive (AWD).

The engine produces 177.5bhp and 430Nm of torque and is available with both a 6-speed manual gearbox as well as an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The F-Pace can sprint from 0-100km/h in 8.7 seconds and has a top speed of 208km/h.

Also available is a rear wheel drive variant which has the same specifications but is 0.2-seconds slower to 100km but has a top speed of 209km/h.

Other engine options include a turbocharged 3-litre V6 engine that produces 296bhp and 700Nm of torque. The diesel V6 F-Pace is available only with AWD and sprints to 100km/h in just 6.2 seconds and has a top speed of 241km/h.

The final engine option is the supercharged 3.0-litre V6 from the F-Type sports car that produces 375bhp and 450Nm

The F-Pace is 4,731mm long, 1,936mm wide and 1,652mm tall and has a 2,874mm long wheelbase. The F-Pace has a ground clearance of 213mm.
