Mercedes-Benz Launches The ‘Made In India’ GLC, Priced At Rs 47.90 Lakh Onward
Mercedes-Benz has launched its 9th 'Made in India' model, the GLC SUV in the country, priced at Rs 47.90 lakh for the diesel variant and Rs 51.90 lakh for the petrol variant, ex-showroom (Delhi). The Mercedes GLC is available in three trim levels and their pricing is as follows:
- Mercedes-Benz GLC 220 d 4MATIC Style: Rs 47.90 lakh
- Mercedes-Benz GLC 220 d 4MATIC Sport: Rs 51.50 lakh
- Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC Sport: Rs 51.90 lakh
Speaking about the engine specifications, the the diesel powered GLC 220 d Style and Sport are powered by a 2,143cc, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 170bhp and 400Nm of peak torque. The petrol powered GLC 300 comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit that makes 245bhp and 370Nm of torque. Both engines come paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox and power is sent to all four wheels.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV's petrol engine is powerful enough to hel the SUV sprint from 0 – 100km/h in 6.5 seconds and helps the vehicle reach a top speed of 222km/h. The diesel engine on the other hand can accelerate the GLC SUV from 0 – 100km/h in 8.3 seconds, while it can reach a top speed of 210km/h.

Safety features aboard the Mercedes-Benz GLC include ESP curve dynamic assist, crosswind assist, attention assist, adaptive brake lights, tyre pressure monitoring assist, and 7 airbags in total. The GLC has also achieved 5 star safety rating for occupant protection, child protection, and pedestrian safety.
