The LA Auto Show is a platform to showcase some of the best and new cars, also SUVs from manufacturers around the globe. The 2016 edition of the LA Auto Show was no less with electric cars, sports and SUVs which were the flavour of the auto show.
Some of the manufacturers unveiled and showcased models which could make its way to the Indian market.
Here are some of the vehicles which will come to India.
Ford EcoSport (Facelift)
Ford has revealed the facelifted version of the EcoSport and will go on sale in the U.S. market soon. The EcoSport enjoys a good amount of fan base and the EcoSport facelift revealed what the new compact SUV would look like.

The Ford EcoSport has been India for nearly 3 years and time has come for the facelifted version to be launched. The unveiled EcoSport at the 2016 LA Auto Show looks a lot more like of the larger Ford SUVs.
The facelifted Ford EcoSport features a new front grille and bumper. On the inside is where there is a whole lot of changes like the new dashboard with touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Chevrolet Beat Activ
Chevrolet Beat in India has been a success for the American company. The company had revealed plans of bringing the crossover version of the Beat, the Active to India.
The Chevrolet Activ made its debut at the 2016 LA Auto Show and will be the smallest crossover from the company. On the design front, the Chevy Activ has an aggressive look with skid plates for the front and rear bumpers.
The U.S. spec Beat Activ is powered by a 1.4-litre petrol engine churning out 98bhp and 127Nm of torque. The Indian spec will continue to get the same units as the current Beat.
The Honda CR-V was due for a facelift and the new updated model was showcased at the 2016 LA Auto Show.
Honda has updated the CR-V will minor tweaks which is more of an evolution from the current model in India. The styling in sync with the current design language of Honda like the thick horizontal chrome single slat grille.
The U.S. bound Honda CR-V features the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine which churns out 190bhp and the option of the 2.4-litre unit which produces 184bhp and this could make its way to India.
Jeep is all set to produce its vehicles in India and the Compass will be the first to be manufactured at its Ranjangaon facility in Pune.
The Jeep Compass will be a 4x4 SUV built on a monocoque platform and will come in both petrol and diesel units. The Compass manufactured in India will be exported from here to right-hand drive countries as well.
Expected price is Rs 20 lakh and features Jeep's all-new UConnect touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The new Chevrolet Cruze looks sharper yet not losing out on its muscular design. In India, the Cruze has not been updated for a while now and it is expected to be launched by late 2017.
Chevrolet new Cruze is equipped with a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine which develops 153bhp and 240Nm of torque for the American market.
As for the India bound model, Chevrolet is expected to power the Cruze with the 2.0-litre diesel units which are seen in thecurrent model.
Hyundai will enter the hybrid segment in India and the most expected from this could be the Ioniq which made its debut at the 2016 LA Auto Show.
The South Korean carmaker is offering the Ioniq as a hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and an electric version as well.
In most probable, India might get the hybrid or even the plug-in hybrid model. The hybrid model is powered by the 1.6-litre petrol unit which develops 105bhp and 147Nm of torque, while the electric motor churns out 60bhp and is tied to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Land Rover Discovery
Land Rover showcased the new Discovery at the 2016 Paris Motor Show and now it has made its debut at the 2016 LA Auto Show.
The new Land Rover Discovery features LED DRLs and taillights, and new design language with an asymmetrical tailgate.
The new Discovery is expected to be equipped with the 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel unit, also expected is the 3.0-litre V6 mill in both petrol and diesel engines.
