Hyundai Verna SX(O) Variant Relaunched In India For 2016

Hyundai has re-launched the SX(O) variant of the Verna sedan in India for 2016. The top-spec model was earlier discontinued, and the carmaker has now brought the model back into the market. Along with the introduction, the carmaker has also tweaked equipment throughout the Verna variants.

Hyundai Verna Variants For 2016

The Hyundai Verna will be available in four variants, namely, Base, S, SX, and SX(O). All the variants will be equipped with dual front airbags as a standard safety feature. The Base variant will now come equipped with a cooled glovebox, but without an audio system.

The Verna S trim will be equipped with a standard 2-DIN music system. The SX trim will be packed with features such as audio/ video navigation, 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, and power folding mirrors.

The top of the line SX(O) variant will feature side and curtain airbags, leather seats, push button start, telescopic steering, rain sensing wipers, and disc brakes for all four wheels.

Engine And Transmission

The Hyundai Verna will be offered with a choice of four engine and two transmission options. The Base variant will have a choice of either a 1.4-litre petrol or a 1.4-litre diesel engine paired to a manual gearbox to chose from.

The S variant will have a choice of either a 1.6-litre petrol or a 1.6-litre diesel engine with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox to chose from. The SX variant will feature the same 1.6-litre engine, but the automatic gearbox is offered only with the petrol variant. The SX(O) variant on the other hand, will be offered with the same engines again, but with an automatic gearbox only for the diesel engine.
