2017 Hyundai Verna Launched In China
The 2017 Hyundai Verna has been launched in the Chinese market. This new offering from Hyundai will make its way to India in 2017.
The 2017 Hyundai Verna has finally been launched in the Chinese market. This new sedan from the Korean car maker made its first appearance at the 2016 Chengdu Motor Show.
The Chinese spec 2017 Verna is available in two petrol engine options, a 1.4-litre four-cylinder and a 1.6-litre engine. Both the mills are borrowed from the previous outgoing model.
The 1.4-litre engine produces 100bhp and the 1.6-litre unit pumps out 123bhp. The 2017 Verna comes with a six-speed manual and automatic transmission.
Coming to the exterior design, the 2017 Verna has remained almost the same compared to the concept version, which is inspired by Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language.
The 2017 Hyundai Verna features diamond-cut alloy wheels, electric sunroof, LED daytime running lights, automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and heated front seats.
The 2017 Verna comes in four different trims in the Chinese market - GS, GLS, TOP and SPORT. It is priced in the range of RMB 72,800 (approximately Rs 7.19 lakh) to RMB 1,05,800 ( approximately Rs 10.45 lakh).
When the 2017 Hyundai Verna launched in India next year it will come with the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engines coupled to manual and automatic transmission. Hyundai has also confirmed that the Indian plant will also export the 2017 Verna in significant numbers.
