Hyundai Motors has shared with us two teaser images of their soon to be launched Tucson SUV. Both images showcase the design philosophy of all-new Hyundai Tucson. Designers have made use of Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy for the Tucson SUV.
This is the third generation Hyundai Tucson and is launching in India on November 14. Hyundai Motors India showcased all-new Tucson at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi earlier this year. Tucson was previously launched in India, however, it did not do well in terms of sales.
Bookings for the Hyundai Tucson have commenced across the country. Dealerships are accepting Rs. 25,000 as a token amount for the premium SUV model. All-new Tucson is expected to bear a price tag in the range of Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh ex-showroom.
Under the hood of 2016 Hyundai Tucson is a 2.0-litre diesel engine. Hyundai will be offering the Tucson in two engine tunes a 134bhp and an 181bhp option. The engine will be mated to an optional 6-speed manual and an automatic transmission gearbox.
Once launched, Hyundai Tucson will compete in the premium SUV segment in India. The Tucson will rival Honda CR-V, Skoda Yeti, and Ssangyong Rexton. Hyundai will place the Tucson in between the Creta and Santa Fe models that are on sale in the Indian market currently.
