Spy Pics: Production Ready Hyundai Tucson Spotted
Hyundai is all set to launch the Tucson SUV In India and is hard at work putting the SUV to the test to prepare it for the rough roads of the country.
The upcoming Tucson was first showcased in India at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The Test mule spotted this time, looked to be production ready, with the camouflage barely masking the SUV's distinctive shape.
At the rear, the car sports a small spoiler on the roof. The taillamps look sleek but bulge out slightly thanks to some extra curves on the rear end of the Tucson.
At the front, the Tucson sports angular headlamps that sit on either side of a hexagonal grille. The fog lamps (which are just about visible in this image) and LED daytime running lamps look quite cool on either side of the muscular front grille.
The interiors of the car are quite reminiscent of the ones found on the recently launched sixth-generation Elantra. The 8-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system has been carried over and the 6-speed manual gearbox can be seen as well.
The India bound Tucson is expected to use a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 136bhp and 373Nm of torque.
The engine will be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Hyundai is also expected to offer a 6-speed automatic gearbox as well with the Tucson. A petrol powered Tucson may also make its way into India at a later date.
The Hyundai Tucson is expected to launch in India in the month of October with the actual launch date is expected to be close to Diwali.
