Hyundai Motors India recently launched its all-new Tucson premium SUV. Now, the Korean-based automobile giant confirms that it will offer a 4WD Tucson in the Indian market. This model could be introduced sometime during mid-2016 by Hyundai India.
Currently, Hyundai Tucson in India is offered with a petrol and diesel engine option. Both engines are mated to an optional automatic and manual transmission. Internationally, Hyundai Tucson is equipped with a 4WD system as well, in India as of now it is not available.
The 4WD option in Hyundai Tucson will be paired with a 2.0-litre diesel engine only. Hyundai will be mating this engine to a 6-speed automatic transmission. All-new Tucson 4WD option will be available only in the fully loaded, top most variant offering by Hyundai India.
Tucson currently has no direct competitors in the Indian market. Hyundai Motors India have placed the Tucson in between Creta and Santa Fe models. Expect, Hyundai Tucson 4WD to be priced in excess of Rs. 25 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market when launched during mid-2017.
