Hyundai Launches IoniQ Hybrid - The Answer To India's Pollution Woes?

Hyundai has unveiled its all new Ioniq Hybrid In South Korea. The IoniQ is Hyundai's answer to Toyota's popular Prius Hybrid.
The IoniQ Hybrid is powered by a 1.6-litre GDi petrol engine which is helped along by a permanent magnet electric motor to produce a total of 148hp and 316Nm of torque. Hyundai claims the engine has a class leading thermal efficiency of 40%. The Ioniq has a claimed mileage of 22.4 km/l.
The Hyundai IoniQ will go on sale in South Korea on January 14, 2016 with prices starting at 22.9 million Won ($19,000).
