Hyundai Reveals Specifications Of The Third-Generation i30 [Video]
Hyundai has revealed the 2017 i30 specifications for the South Korean market ahead of its launch. A television commercial has been released by Hyundai of the hot hatch i30 seen drifting on a public road.
Hyundai will unveil the i30 on September 8, 2016, ahead of the public debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show to be held at the end of September. As for the specifications of the 2017 Hyundai i30, it will be available in five trims in South Korea: Smart, Modern, Premium, Sports and Sports Premium.
The powertrain on the hot hatch i30 will be a choice of three engines, a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol with 138bhp of power, 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol with 201bhp and a 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel unit. The transmission will be taken care by the 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox for the petrol engines; however, the manual gearbox is not confirmed by the company.
On the features front, the 2017 Hyundai i30 will include full-LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED turn indicators, electric adjustable and foldable ORVMs, 18-inch alloy wheels, leather steering wheels, heated front seats, 8-inch infotainment system, 7-speaker JBL premium sound system, 7 airbags, Electronic Stability control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Advanced Traction Cornering Control (ATCC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).
