Hyundai Grand i10 Magna Automatic Variant Launched Silently
Hyundai Motors India has silently launched an automatic option in its hatchback. The Grand i10 model now gets an automatic option in the Magna variant. Automatic Transmission (AT) vehicles are gaining popularity in the Indian market over manual transmission in bumper to bumper driving conditions.
The Grand i10 Magna trim with AT is priced at Rs. 6.21 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai). It translates to an on-road price of Rs. 7.10 lakh in Mumbai. Surprisingly, Hyundai Motors India has removed the Asta variant with AT in the Grand i10 from its lineup.
Under the hood will be a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which is mated to a 4-speed AT. The engine will produce 81.86bhp, along with 114Nm of peak torque output. Unfortunately, safety features like dual airbags and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) have been omitted.
The Korean-based automobile manufacturer is celebrating its 20th anniversary in the Indian market. Several special offers and models are being introduced to celebrate this momentous occasion. At this moment, only the Grand i10 and Xcent have received 20th Anniversary Special Edition makeovers.
