Hyundai Elite i20 Gets LED DRLs & Projector Headlamps Update
Hyundai India will be showcasing several new and exciting products at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The latest news is that the Korean-based manufacturer will be providing an update to its premium hatchback. For 2016, the Hyundai Elite i20 will receive LED DRLs and projector headlamps.
Surprisingly, an update is being provided to the Elite i20 in the country post its launch, which was just a year and a half ago. When launched, the Elite i20 raked in tremendous sales, however, with more competitors sales have significantly reduced in the country.
Currently, LED DRLs and projector headlamps with cornering lights were offered with the i20 Active crossover model. Now Hyundai India will be offering similar features as standard equipment on its Elite i20 hatchback only in its Asta (O) variant.
For 2016, Hyundai Motors India will also be offering dual airbags in the Elite i20 model. The safety equipment will come as standard fitment across all variants of the hatchback in the country. Unfortunately, no automatic transmission will be on offer yet by Hyundai in the Elite i20.
Hyundai Elite i20 premium hatchback competes with the likes of Honda Jazz and Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Out of the three, Baleno premium hatchback is the top-seller in India. The new updates are expected to boost sales for Hyundai India.
