Hyundai had launched the Creta in India last year. And for the Korean car maker the compact SUV has been a great success in the Indian market.
Hyundai has also been expanding its SUV lineup with the addition of a petrol automatic variant, lower-spec diesel automatic version and a special limited-run Anniversary Edition.
Hyundai is already working on the next generation Creta which will hit the markets by 2021. The updated facelift Creta will make its debut at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show.
But the next-gen Hyundai Creta is likely to be offered in a five-seater and seven-seater model. Hyundai believes that there are two set of different customers for these two variants.
Whereas the facelifted version of the Creta will get a new front fascia along with other design tweaks and is expected to be launched in India in near future.
At present those who are looking for a seven-seater SUV in the Indian market, their only options are the Honda BR-V or the models such as - Mahindra Scorpio and XUV500 in higher segment and NuvoSport and TUV300 in the entry-level segment.
With the changing trend in the automobile industry towards the SUV's and crossover models, the seven-seater model of the Creta would be another successful story for the Hyundai.
