Honda Looking To Launch The HR-V — What's Your Take On It?
Honda Car India might be looking to explore the crossover segment in India further after the launch of the BR-V. Speaking to AutoCarPro, Yoichiro Ueno, Honda India's CEO, said that they are analysing the market, and if there is potential in the crossover segment, chances are the HR-V will be launched in India.
Globally, the HR-V competes with the Jeep Renegade, Hyundai Creta, etc., Concerning engine configurations, the HR-V is offered in petrol, hybrid, and diesel.
For India, we expect the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.6-litre i-DTEC, which is the same engine configuration looked at for the upcoming Honda CR-V for India. If launched in India, the HR-V will be positioned above the BR-V and will compete with the Mahindra XUV 500, and both manual and automatic transmission could be on offer.
DriveSpark Thinks! If Honda launches the HR-V, this crossover utility vehicle (CUV) could become one of the strongest options in the segment.
What's your take on the Honda HR-V? Will it make an impression in India?
