Honda Showcases The Fifth Iteration Of Its CR-V Premium SUV
Honda has launched the 2017 edition of its CR-V premium SUV. This is the fifth iteration of Honda CR-V in the international market. Japanese-based automobile manufacturer has completely redesigned the CR-V for 2017 and we expect it to come to India soon.
Till date Honda has managed to sell over four million units of the CR-V premium SUV. Honda CR-V is the manufacturer's second best selling product globally after its Civic model. Very first Honda CR-V was introduced back in 1997.
Under the hood will be an all-new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. This engine produces 190bhp, along with 288Nm of torque. Honda CR-V will also be available with a naturally aspirated 2.4-litre petrol engine. Both engines will be mated to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with Honda G-Shift control logic.
All-new Honda CR-V is 30mm longer and 35mm taller and wider than its predecessor. Honda has increased the wheelbase by 40mm as well for better cabin space. Several additional and interesting features have also been provided in 2017 Honda CR-V.
Interestingly, Honda officials claim that for 2017 CR-V they used the BMW X3 as their benchmark. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the public debut of Honda CR-V. Do let us know what you think of the 2017 Honda CR-V?
