Yes, Haryana government has made it mandatory to fit auto dipper in all four-wheeled transport vehicles according to the Rule 106 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.
The Haryana state road transport official stated that the vehicles which are not equipped with the auto dippers cannot be registered by the registering authorities or the authorised motor vehicle dealer.
The official also stated that the four wheelers which are already registered will be fitted with the auto dipper which is compatible with the vehicle's headlamp.
The auto dippers which will be fitted on the vehicles will have to be approved by Transport Department on the basis of technology under license from National Research Development Corporation.
