General Motors To Add More Diesel Vehicles To Its Fleet
General

more

vehicles
in
US
market.
Despite

due
to
Volkswagen's
diesel
emission
scandal
GM
has
taken
this
step.
GM stated that it would offer a diesel variant of the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, firm's best-selling compact SUV. Also, the American carmaker plans to launch the diesel version of Chevrolet Cruze next year. After Volkswagen failed to lure customers to buy diesel vehicles in the US, it's GM's turn to flip the coin.
Diesel engines are known for their performance and brawny pick-up, but in the US customers don't prefer one. But GM hopes to change this mindset among US customers.
GM currently sells a high volume of its diesel vehicles in Europe. In Europe, diesel vehicles account for half of the car sales, but reports suggest that this trend will soon be going downward. The diesel version of the Chevrolet Equinox should be a good package considering its high mileage in highway driving.
