Future Nissan GT-R Supercar Could Get A Hybrid Engine
Nissan recently showcased its all-new GT-R supercar. The updated supercar was unveiled to the general public at the 2016 New York Auto Show. Even the 2017 Nissan GT-R bear resemblance to its predecessor and the Japanese manufacturer is proud of how their supercar looks.
The Japanese-based manufacturer has now confirmed that the next GT-R will have a hybrid engine under the hood. Height and width of the new GT-R will have to be altered to fit in the hybrid engine. Nissan promises that all updates made to the supercar will be to increase performance.
The new and greener supercar is not expected anytime before 2017 across markets. In terms of design as well, we do not expect drastic changes to take place. Hybrid Nissan GT-R will be cleaner, greener, and meaner than ever before.
An all-new hybrid engine will increase the weight of the upcoming GT-R. It will be interesting to see how Nissan engineers cope up with the additional weight. Nissan will use the same 3.8-litre, V6 engine will be coupled with an electric motor to improve fuel efficiency and economy.
