Four teams from India are currently participating in the Asia-Pacific Semi-Finals of the Volvo VISTA, the number one competition for workshop employees.
The 2015-16 edition of the Volvo VISTA saw over 18,500 employees participating in the competition, helping VISTA to break its own record for the biggest competition in the world for workshop professionals.
The competition saw 916 workshop employees taking part, with four teams making it through to the Asia-Pacific Semi-Finals in Bangkok, Thailand.
The other three semi-finals are taking place in Gothenburg, Sweden, Greensboro, North Carolina in the US, and Curitiba Brazil. A total of 32 teams will take part in the finals in Gothenburg in late-May.
The VISTA competiton sees Volvo Trucks' employee teams tested on their ability to work together, solve problems and follow instructions according to Volvo's guidelines.
The results from VISTA also help identify potential areas for improvement. In this sense, VISTA also functions as is a mass training programme.
