Survey: 75% Of Indian Drivers Don’t Know How To Use GPS

One fourth of the drivers believes that keeping the engine turned on while idling will save more fuel.

A recent survey reveals that a little over one-fourth of drivers in India know how to use GPS to find the best route before starting a drive. Out of 10, nearly four drivers know that sudden accelerating and braking will decrease the fuel efficiency.

One fourth of the drivers believes that keeping the engine turned on while idling will save more fuel.

Auto giant Ford Motor company conducted a survey revealing that 95 percent of Indian drivers claimed that they know how to drive their vehicles for maximum efficiency. Again, 96 percent of the drivers said that they made efforts to drive efficiently.

The survey was conducted by Ford across Asia Pacific. It covered 9,500 drivers across the region and 1,020 drivers took part in India.
