Ford Mustang GT Muscles Itself To The Best Selling Sports Car Title
Ford launched the Mustang GT in India in July 2016 and in a month's time, it has raced to the title of the best-selling sports car in India.
Showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016, the Mustang GT has captured the imagination of buyers in the country. In July, since one month of its launch, Ford sold 35 units of the Mustang GT.
Comparatively, the competitors (cars with engine capacity of 5.0-litre V8 and above) sell about 5-10 units in a year. Ford has outdone itself in terms of sales of the Mustang GT.
Ford offers the Mustang GT at the price of Rs. 65 lakh ex-showroom and comes as a completely built unit (CBU) to India. The Mustang GT comes in different colours which include Absolute Black, Ingot Silver, Oxford White, Triple Yellow Tricoat, Magnetic and signature Race Red.
Doing the duty for the Ford Mustang GT is the 5.0-litre V8 engine which punches out 395bhp and 515Nm of torque which is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Mustang GT can go from 0 - 100kmph in flat 4 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 250kmph.
Talking about the features of the Ford Mustang GT, it comes with HID lights, LED tail lamps, rear diffuser, and 19-inch wheels, besides a dual zone climate control, 9 speaker sound system, and SYNC-2 connectivity.
In the first half of 2015, Ford Mustang GT was the world's best-selling sports car and now it is the best selling sports car in India and continues to enthrall auto enthusiasts around the globe.
