2017 Ford F-150 To Have Better Mileage With New Engine
Ford, the leading American pickup truck manufacturer have been continuously working on the development program to improve the performance and to offer better mileage to its customers.

The 2017 Ford F-150 will be offering exactly the same things to its customers. Thanks to the new engine and the maiden production version of its new transmission.

The all-new 3.5-litre EcoBoost engine which will be mated to ten-speed automatic transmission. Thus improving the overall mileage and performance of the vehicle.

In addition to the mileage, the new 3.5-litre engine and ten-speed-gearbox will deliver improved acceleration, performance and refinement.

The new powertrain will offer a combination of better low-end and peak performance, which is ideal for hauling heavy loads or towing heavy trailers.

The second generation 3.5-litre EcoBoost engine produces 375bhp of power and 637Nm of torque. Which is a jump in performance compared to the last generation engine.

This is achieved by a new twin-port direct fuel injection, lighter and stronger crank and valve train components, redesigned twin turbocharger with electronic wastegate, and redesigned valve train and variable-displacement oil pump.

The new ten-speed automatic gearbox improves engine power and torque. The gearbox is manufactured using advanced materials and alloys.

The shifting of gears is smoother with unique high-speed one-way clutch allows sequential shifting. An additional sports mode is also provided for on-demand performance.
