LA Auto Show: 2017 Ford Ecosport Unveiled, India Launch In 2017
The 2017 Ford Ecosport is expected to hit the Indian shores in the second quarter of next year.
American automaker Ford has unveiled its 2017 Ecosport SUV at the LA auto show 2016. The company was not able to make the debut of 2017 Ecosport at the Sao Paulo Auto Show.
As we said, the exterior design of the new model shares the styling cues of Ford Kuga. Inside, the car gets a new steering wheel, restyled instrument cluster, an 8-inch floating touchscreen, an extra-sensitive FM antenna and a 675-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system for the top variant.
For the American-spec model, there are two engine variants: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with four-wheel drive. The power units are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
At the front, the car features a one-piece hexagonal grille, new headlamp design, and restyled fog lamps and front bumper.
The centre air-con vents of the model are now positioned slightly lower on the centre console. Also, the centre console gets revised air-con control with an asymmetrical design.
The new Ecosport will hit the South American roads in early 2017. We can expect the 2017 model to reach the Indian dealerships in late 2017.
