American automaker Ford will showcase its 2017 Ecosport model at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show on November 8. The facelift version has been spotted testing in Brazil and thanks to CARPLACE reader Lícius de Vasconcelos for this snaps.

By looking at the photos, we can say the exterior design of the 2017 Ford Ecosport has been inspired from the styling cues of Ford Kuga. Inside, there is a new steering wheel, instrument cluster, centre console and the SYNC 2 infotainment system.

Along with the interior and exterior updates, the model will also get a new 1.5-litre ‘Dragon' three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine which will replace company's current 1.6-litre Sigma unit.

We hope Ford will debut this engine in India later. But for now, according to the reports, the India-spec 2017 Ford Ecosport will continue with the same engine options as the existing model.

Currently, Ford India offers a 1-litre Ecoboost petrol engine, 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol and 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine. Both automatic and manual transmission options are available for 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol variant.

The new Ford Ecosport will hit the U.S. market in 2017. The Euro-spec Ecosport will be built in Romania from H2 2017. It is also reported that the U.S.-spec version will be made in India.
