Floyd Mayweather In The News Again, This Time For Buying Kode 57 Supercar
Former boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is in the news again, not for his boxing fights, but for spending a whopping $2.5 million to buy the latest supercar, the Kode 57. The Kode 57 is designed by Ferrari Maestro Ken Okuyama. The car was showcased in The Quail, a motorsport gathering last weekend.
The Kode 57 is likely built on a Ferrari 599 GTB chassis. It's powered by a 6.0-litre V12 power unit that produces 611bhp of power and 607Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to an electrohydraulic manual gearbox with six ratios, similar to the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.
The suspension and engine of the new Kode 57 can be fine tuned as per the owner's choice. The car is the result of collaboration with the German firm, Novitec Rosso. If the German company can do the same magic as it did with the 500 GTB Fiorano, the kode 57 is expected to produce a mammoth 836bhp of power.
