Ferrari LaFerrari Spider Expected To Launch Later This Year

Ferrari is expected to launch a convertible version of the LaFerrari hybrid hypercar later this year after apparently revealing it to a few customers at a private event.

Despite countless rumors, Ferrari till date haven't really said much on the LaFerrari spider's existance but if this image posted by Automotive Passion (D. Benoit) is to be beileved, the car could be making its way into rather expensive car collections quite soon.

The LaFerrari Spider is expected to use the same hybrid powertrain found in the coupe with a 6.3-litre V12 and electric motors combing to kick out 950bhp and 900Nm of torque. The convertibel is expected to be slightly heavier compared to the coupe to compensate for the strengthening of the bottom end of the car and the roof which is expected to be a hard top of some sort.

However, since there is no confirmation yet from Maranello, this news should be taken with a grain of salt, but if it does turn out to be true expect the LaFerrari Spider to cost a bit more than the manic coupe and also be more exclusive as well.
