Formula 1: Ocon’s Goals For 2017 With Force India
“We will have the first taste in Barcelona, but if the car performs as good or better than this year then for sure we will want podiums and points all the time.”

The Indian team made a two-year deal with the French driver a few weeks back. He replaces the Renault-bound Nico Hulkenberg as Sergio Perez's teammate. Ocon joined the F1 grid as a full-timer in 2016 for Manor team.
The Frenchman believes that if Force India can maintain its current form by remaining as one of the top four team, then he is confident of claiming top ten finish in every race of 2017 season.
Ocon said, "We don't know how the other teams are going to perform, we don't even know how we are going to perform. So let's see where everybody is. We will have the first taste in Barcelona, but if the car performs as good or better than this year then for sure we will want podiums and points all the time."
Back in 2014, Ocon was the test driver for Lotus. Then in 2015 he tested the Force India Formula one car and this year, he was doing some tests with both Mercedes and Renault before joining the Manor F1 team.
He added, "I will do everything I can to get the best result possible. Everything they ask me I will do it, and even more. I will be in the factory a lot, doing a lot of simulator work. We've already spoken about that and agreed. Without hard work, it can't work.
"On experience, I've been driving a Formula 1 car since 2014, been around the paddock since then so I feel like I am prepared enough for this chance."
