Esteban Ocon Getting Closer On Force India Deal

team-mate
at
Force
India
for
the
next
Formula
1
season.
The
seat
became
available
when
Nico
Hulkenberg
was
released
from
his
contract.
Nico will be switching to Renault on a multi-year deal. Ocon was also a target for Renault but he was on Force India's shortlist for next year with other drivers such as Pascal Wehrlein, Jolyon Palmer and Felipe Nasr.
Vijay Mallya, Force India Boss held some meetings last week to discuss this. After some talks over the weekend, Manor driver Ocon is the leading candidate to take the seat.
Last season, Ocon impressed the Force India team with his performance in the test. The deal will help Mercedes to valuate Ocon and his talent because the Force India-Mercedes team are doing a pretty good job.
