Third Eco-Friendly Electric Vehicle Expo Set To Begin
The three-day international event will witness companies like Altius Technologies, Soni Electric, Lohia Auto, Victory Electric, Nanya, Goenka, Mini Metro, Thukral electric bikes, Hitek, Indo Wagon etc
The third instalment of the eco-friendly Electric Vehicle Expo 2016 (EV-Expo) is all set to begin from December 23, 2016. The three-day event will be inaugurated by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Rajiv Arora, Founder Member Electric Rickshaw Manufacturers Association & Organizer EV-Expo said that this 3rd EV-Expo 2016 holds special significance because this Expo is the only Expo dedicated to theelectric vehicles in the country.
He further added that the Expo is special at a time when the Government is all out to promote E-Rickshaws and E-Carts to provide last mile connectivity and environment-friendly transport solutions in order to boost passenger safety, convenience and in making India a pollution free country.
Anuj Sharma, Chairman, E-Rickshaw Committee, Ministry of Road Transport & Highway said that E-Vehicles could play an important role in the environment friendly city transportation and the Expo is in line with the Government's objective to replace 7.5 crore Paddle Rickshaw into E Rickshaws by 2020 and to make India a 100 percent Electric Vehicle Nation by 2030.
He added that they thank the current government and especially Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for bringing in place a progressive policy regime which has encouraged the E-Vehicle industry while promoting intelligent green transport solutions.
The international expo will witness companies such as Altius Technologies, Soni Electric, Lohia Auto, Victory Electric, Nanya, Goenka, Mini Metro, Thukral electric bikes, Hitek, Indo Wagon, Jezza Motors, DMW, Eastman, Bajoria Motors etc.
