Delhi To Allow Truck Entry Only After 11 P.M.

The Delhi government is proposing delaying the entry of trucks in the night into the national capitol by two hours in a bid to curb pollution levels. The proposal will see trucks enter the city at 11 p.m. rather than 9 p.m.

Speaking about the issue, a senior Delhi government official told PTI, "Transport department has sent a proposal which favours allowing of trucks in Delhi only from 11 PM, instead of existing 9 PM." The official said that the proposal has been sent to the government which will sent it to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung for his approval.
