Delhi Government To Introduce App Based Bus Service In The National Capital
The Delhi government is set to announce an app-based bus service to ease public transport woes in the national capital region.
Contract carriage buses in the city will come under the operations of the app-based service which will be announced by the officials next week.
To carry the passenger who use this service, the private contract carriage buses will be given a special permit.
"The routes of these buses will be decided by the transport department. Office goers at large will be main beneficiaries," the official said.
He further said that by the use of app service, passengers will be offered the option to locate buses going towards desired destinations at normal fares fixed by the government.
The private bus operators in the region have welcomed the move and informed that they are willing to buy new buses for this service.
